  • I’ve rated this interesting plugin only 2 stars, and I think I owe to the author some explanation:
This is the plugin I was looking for. However, it is missing the following:
    – said to work for “amazon”, but in fact, works only for “amazon.com” ; to make it universal, you should add a parameter with amazon extension (.fr for France), or rename the title to “Amazon.com”
    – I tried to re-use some links from an Amazon newsletter, and unfortunately, they were not retagged.

After modifying the plugin to support Amazon.fr instead of Amazon.com, I finished by uninstalling it and generating (again) all deep url through Amazon affiliate. Too bad.

  • Sorry — this was a one-off written in less than a hour. I’ll update the docu to reflect the issue when I get a chance. I’ll take a look at how difficult it is to rewrite international URLs and do it if i get a chance.

hey, I updated the regex to preserve int’l TLDs. not sure if that’ll fix your prob, but give it a shot.

Does this plugin also insert the amazon affiliate ID into posts which come from an Amazon Rss Feed? I use an RSS feed for posts and in all of the posts are links to purchase the products from amazon and I am hoping your plugin also changes the links in these posts.
    Thanks,
    Ariel

Hard to say, I think it only updates content in post bodies, so as long as your RSS feed is displayed as a post on WP, it should work. To say anything more definitive I’d need an example of your setup.
