When I installed the new theme of wordpress on a clients website it shut out the backend giving an error code of:

When visiting edit this page: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_preview_post_link() in /home/websitefolder/public_html/wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php on line 88

and When visiting wp-admin: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_removable_query_args() in /home/websitefolder/public_html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 900

How do I fix this and or uninstall the new wordpress update?

    Thank you very much,

  • Hey creativplatforms,

Your best bet here is to rename the theme folder. So if it’s called twentytwelve for example just rename it to be twentytwelve.old or xtwentytwelve for example. You’ll need access to FTP, ssh, or cPanel in order to do this.

    Hope this helps!

That doesn’t seem to help at all. Just disengages the website. Is this a compatibility issue with my Sydney Pro Theme and the 4.2.2 update?
