WP Publication Archives plugin not working?

We are a monthly print magazine with a WP site, where we drop in a link to our magazine as published on Issuu.
Recently, we’ve noticed visitors to our site (www.ncwgoodlife.com) cannot view past magazines, even though that have been able up until recently.
After some sleuthing, it turns out that the plugin we use for this operation — WP Publication Archive — may not work with the latest version of WP. In fact, the WP Plugin directory states: “This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.”

So, two questions:
1) Is anyone else having this issue, and
2) What a good alternative for WP Publication Archive
