    Hello,

This plugin works great except for Gmail subscribers. I have tested this with several emails. It goes right to the inbox unless it is a gmail email. If it is gmail it goes to the spam folder. I have tried changing the email template, the subject line, removing anything that might be considered a link, using an smtp plugin. Any idea why this might be happening I am also seeing these errors on submit.

    Hi,

-> If it is gmail it goes to the spam folder.
-> Can you please mark the email as NOT SPAM. That way, emails won’t go to the spam folder.

-> I am also seeing these errors on submit.
-> We’ll have a check with them and if it is replicating at our end, we’ll fix it.

Marking the email as not spam after the fact seems to defeat the purpose of having an opt in. Any other suggestions?

    Any luck with the errors?

    Hi,

We checked that at our end and gmail users are receiving mails correctly in inbox folder. Can you please ask your Host Provider if they have blocked or restricted gmail users?

Adding further, those errors don’t have an link with the issue you are facing. However, we are able to replicate same on our end and we will fix them in later releases of Email Subscribers.

Would any of those errors cause the red “Loading” text to appear and stay on submit? The mail ends up sending but there doesn’t seem to be any confirmation to the user that the form has been submitted.

    Hi,

As far as we know, those errors shouldn’t be the problem. None of your subscribers are seeing ‘Successfully Subscribed’ message or only gmail users?

    Hi @itivae,

Email Subscribers v3.1.1 is live now and it fixes the errors that were visible in console while submitting the subscribe form.

Thanks for the hard work. This error is now showing.

    Hi,

We are unable to replicate the same on our end. Is the same error occurring on submitting subscribe form in Chrome or any other browser too?

The error above is in Chrome.

This is in Firefox (looks pretty much the same)
    TypeError: document.getElementById(…) is null

    Opera
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property ‘innerHTML’ of null

    IE 11
SCRIPT5007: Unable to set property ‘innerHTML’ of undefined or null reference

    Hi,

We are not getting the notice you mentioned in the console in any of the browsers. Can you please empty your cache and then have a check?

    @itivae,

Please update Email Subscribers to latest version (v3.1.2) & then have a check.
