No, the two plugins are not compatible. Link Library is currently based on the legacy Link Manager plugin that is still part of WordPress core. Simple Links has decided to move on from the legacy Links Manager and create its own custom post types to manage links and associated data. In doing so, the plugin is not compatible with other link management plugins, or any plugin designed to work with the WordPress legacy Links Manager.

Link Library is going to be taking that path as well this year, but I am planning ways to keep data synchronized between the legacy links manager and the new custom post type that I will be setting up.

I used ‘My Link Order’ previously and I really miss it. I hope your new Link Library will incorporate something that will allow custom drag n drop sorting.

Yes, I am definitely planning on including link ordering capabilities in Link Library 6.0.
