Can we create groups?

    Hi,

    UM does not have group functionality at the moment but is planned for future.

    UM and BuddyPress should not be used together. Too much overlap between the plugins.

    I see this project to be a great alternative to buddypress. At it current state it beats buddypress on only one feature which is content and community feature restrictions by member roles. I give a plus to this. However, I have been searching through the paid addons to check if there is an addon for Groups in which Group features are also limited by member roles. I am planning on switching from buddypress but want to witness this feature implemented before I can conveniently switch over.

    Hii,

    Yes, groups added to the core plugin would be very nice!

    For all community sites I design (churches, schools, etc.) this is a required features… When this is available I too would switch over…
