Simplifying Roles’ abilities

I am trying to simplify this wordpress so that anybody can be an editor and make posts and pages without getting confused or messing things up.

I would like to cut down the number of things that an Editor can see in the administration panel.
–>I don’t want editors to be able to see the “Tools” section with options such as Googles Gears, or Press This.
I would also like to prevent Editors and lower privelaged roles from using:

custom fields

tracebacks

discussion options

I am very confused by the Role Scooper’s options for almost everything.
Role Manager, made much more sense to me, but wasn’t able to do some of the above, and also is not supposed to work for 2.7.1
