Mesocolumn update issues

    Hi Richie,

    I’ve just recently downloaded the latest update to Mesocolumn and there seems to be some issues with my site now.

    1: In the dashboard, theme option is no longer available in appearance
    2. All excerpts in my homepage and search are missing

    Do you have any fixes for these or does anyone else know how this can be resolved?

    yeap, theme option is replaced with customize, better and quicker access.
    excerpt on home featured category and blog archive can be setup also in customizer, glad you figure it out.

    Richie, my website just disappeared after the update.

    The dashboard was still there, but the website was just blank.

    I use a child-theme, and I have copied the not updated theme from another website. It worked, so I got my website back (without the page colors but this is not a problem). But I’d like to know what may have happened and may be able to use the last update.

    Any clue? Didi it happened to anyone else using mesocolumn-child?

    please open a new thread next time, don’t bump an already resolved thread.

    what version of wp you using? v1.6.5.1 had get_site_icon_url() which only exist in wp 4.3+ so it might trigged the function error white screen.

    if you had ‘left sidebar’ added using the faq method in site, you might need to download the zip again and re-add the updated code.

    get_theme_option() is deprecated and replace with get_theme_mod()
