Archive all not just 1

I read a post similar to this but the solutions posted didnt work for me. Anyway I want my archives page to show all the archives not just 1 entry. I have 1 entry since I had set my blog pages to 1 day. I only want my main page to have 1 entry but archives all of it. Can somebody help me out? Thanks.
