Locked out. No email unlock. Renaming does not work… | WordPress.org

Hi Folks, here is my problem:
When trying to login I get the message that I’m temporarily locked out. Probably because of security reasons (?) Filling in and sending my email adres to receive unlock information does not ‘answer’. Renaming wordfence or even renaming the entire plugin directory gives a login screen that says: wrong username.

Any help to solve this is very welcome!

Hi,

Do you have any caching plugins enabled? You’ll need to disable those too. If you still can’t get in, it’s recommended that you open a support ticket with your hosting provider as there is probably a bigger issue.
