Displaying post of categories

    Hi everyone.

    I have 5 categories and each one has at least one sub-category, the first error i’m getting is that i have 2 sub-categories with the same name, but the parent is different, when i try to display the posts of both sub-categories it only displays the posts of the first one, i changed the name and works fine but i don’t want that. The Second error is when i display the posts of the sub-categories, if the name of sub-category is different of the languages i have it doesn’t display the posts, but if the name is the same it displays and translate.

    Any idea of what’s going wrong in here?

    Hi Mário, sorry, your question went unanswered for so long.

    regarding your first problem:

    First, wordpress, by default, requires unique slugs.

    There was an intention to allow same slugs across different languages, that’s maybe why your are find that problem.

    2: i think you caught something interesting. i just tested and, indeed, there’s a way for that to happen. i’ll have a look!

    No problem. I resolve this creating a page for each category and sub-category and there display the posts.

    I asked the same thing to the support of the qTranslate X but they said that it wasn’t a problem with their plugin.
