Error When trying to add plugins

    Hello,

    We just acquired a new website for our business and I cannot seem to download any plugins. I get this error.
    “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

    I have also tried to upload via zip file and I get the error,”The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2016/01.”

    We are using version 4.4.1 and we ARE behind a firewall so if I need to open ports other than 80, i just need to know what they are.
