Making a site ssl ready results in blocked cookies on wp-login.php
-
Hello Friends,
I have a Problem with my companys blog at the moment.
We’ve been running it over http for a few months now. It was a bit of a hassle, since the blog has to be embedded on a java-server on a different domain, so i’ve hacked my way through all kinds string-replacements and had a functional embedded blog while a standalone version was no longer working. This was working as intended. The header had to be removed and links had to be replaced or hard-coded.
You can see the results here:
The wordpress installation runs on: casting-php.kraemer.de/wordpress/
…While the embedded frontend is running on: http://www.kraemer-pferdesport.de/Blog.htm?websale8=kraemer-pferdesport&tpl=tpl_blog.htmWe’d now like to switch to ssl and i’ve changed all the links from http:// to //. The same with the database-values of siteurl and home. SSL is available as a domain-alias “cp.kraemer.de” and the siteurl and home-values are set to //cp.kraemer.de/wordpress/.
While the Frontend works just fine (despite a few mixex-content warnings) the backend isn’t accesible anymore. If i access cp.kraemer.de/wordpress/wp-admin/ i get the login form, but sending any credentials (wrong or right) results in the error “cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser.”
Google and the codex haven’t been of much help, the entry: https://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble Talks about Secure SSL but this line is missing in vars.php
define('COOKIEPATH', preg_replace('|http://[^/]+|i', '', get_settings('home') . '/' ) );
I would highly appreciate any help on that matter, thanks in advance.
