    Hey man!

I’m back with another quick question…

My dropdown navigation is spilling offscreen. I seem to remember this being a known issue in Foundation but, for the life of me, I can’t find the solution anywhere. See issue here: http://nationalcomedy.com/

    Thoughts?

  • Hello,
    Hope you are well.
Your navigation menu looks fine to me. Are you talking about the sub menu under Teens?

    Thanks.

    Hey there,

Are you talking about mobile or?

It looks fine on my end and I don’t ever recall this being an issue with the navigation as no one has ever mentioned it in the forums.

    Here’s a post that discusses it: http://foundation.zurb.com/forum/posts/21388-dropdown-positioning-fix-released-in-sites-v55

Though I’m still seeing on this site. If you bring the browser window down to the width of the row and hit the dropdown, you can see things slipping into the void. Here’s a screenshot.

It’s the “collision detection”. No worries if you’re unable to assist. I can keep digging. 🙂

    Hey there,

It very well may be the collision detection, so in essence it isn’t the theme per se, its one of the components of the theme. All I do is bring them together and make sure everything looks snazzy and works the way it should. If there is an issue with Foundation, its always best to view the Foundation docs or forum and see if the issue has been addressed.

In this case it was and a fix was provided. In the pull request it states:

You can override this in the CSS on line 5302 foundation.css in .f-dropdown.medium. Just add a min-width.

I believe if you apply the fix, it may fix your problem with the version of WP-Forge you are running now, as it seems this was added to F6 and if so, will be part of WP-Forge 6 when its released.

The only you are going to have to do is figure out the min-width.

Hope that fix helps correct the issue
