Hi, since a while the re-order function does not really work anymore. Instead the re-order page shows.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /public_html/wp-includes/meta.php on line 827

Initially we had to disable the Yoast SEO plugin to make it work. Now it does not work at all.

    We have about 850+ posts.

    These are the WP details.

    WP Version: 4.4.1
    WP Memory Limit: 512 MB
PHP Post Max Size: 500 MB

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,
From your description, the code is unable to process the list due to memory limitation. Form the error, it appear you account memory is set to 256 and not 512.
It worked before probably because you had less posts to process.
I suggest so you increase the memory allocated, or consider to update to Advanced Post Types Order plugin, which can handle lots of more posts with the same amount of memory, also it include pagination functionality (if set to active), so it show only a chunk of a large list.

    Thanks

This is really an excellent plugin.

I’ve solved every issue by buying and installing the PRO version.
I wish I knew about it before as I would have save tons of time manually adjusting the post order.

    5 STAR RATING!!!

Just one more question. Is there any way to re-order sticky posts as well?

They seem to be on a different loop than the regular posts.

We have about 10 sticky posts, but their order (should be by by date), is not following the same order as the regular posts (which are also ordered by ascending dates).

You could maybe have a look here: http://www.worldtattooevents.com/category/united-states-tattoo-conventions-calendar/

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Hi,
You can drop the WordPress sticky functionality and use the Advanced Post Types Order plugin sticky function. This is much easier to control and allow exact positioning within the list e.g. position 2, position 8 etc. The sticky slot is preserver even if new posts are being created. For more details please check at http://www.nsp-code.com/how-to-set-sticky-posts-with-your-sort-lists/
