Can't change page-2 slug, yet trash is empty! check media file titles!

after reading up on how to fix this problem I was having no luck. Finally I managed to figure out what the problem was.

I had a page that kept showing (-2) and TRASH WAS EMPTY ALSO.

This is what my issue was and I managed to correct it. I checked the media files and it seems that the name of some images where exactly the same as the page name. This was what was causing the conflict.

After renaming the images and re-uploading them and correcting the links, I then was able to change the page slug correctly.

Thought I would share, maybe it could help someone else out.
