Can this mod be removed after the import ?

    Yes for the free version.
    No for the Premium version because the plugin is required to handle the redirects and the users authentication using their PrestaShop passwords.

    Do I need to keep the original database for this to keep working ? If so which tables need to be retained ?

    No, the original database is not used anymore after the migration.
