What do I have to do, to have the date show like this:
    27. September, 9:30–11:30

When I list all events, it shows like this, but not when I look at individual events.

    Thanks in advance,

    Frank

  • Hi there @spade,

I visited your site and it seems like you’ve already figured out how to change the date/time display to meet your requirements.

    Can you please confirm this?

    Best regards,

No, as I said: not when I look at individual events.

Click on an individual event and you will see, like this:

Thanks for getting back to me.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding what you’re asking. Here’s a screenshot of what I see when I visit a single event page on your site: https://pasteboard.co/Y8W7DO12723N.png

And here’s what I see on the main events listing page: https://pasteboard.co/ObJPU3L1iMmb.png

The date formats are similar from what I observed, but if there’s a difference that you’re noticing, please let me know.

Also, you can refer to this article for the settings or plugin has for changing the appearance of the date/time sections: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/setting-dates-and-times/

Maybe Typografie is not your thing, but you should be able to recognize, that the formatting of the date is different.
    Overview: 27. September, 9:30–11:30
    Singleview: 27. September , 9:30 – 11:30
    Thanks in advance
    Frank

Thanks for getting back to me Frank.

It seems I misunderstood you and I apologize. I can see that you were referring to the extra space that’s added after the month in the date, instead of the arrangement of the month, day and time sections.

Can you please go to the Date Format settings for our plugin (WP Admin Dashboard > Events > Settings > Display), and check the “Date time separator” option to see if there are any additional spaces added before and after the ‘,’ symbol that you’re using. If there is any additional empty space, then deleting it and saving the settings should resolve this issue.

    Best regards,

    Marho

    Dear Marho,
    thanks for keeping up.
Am I right to assume that if that setting would be wrong, the date would be shown wrong the same way, anyhow you look at an event?
Just to answer your question, of course did I check that setting and set the separators exactly how it is used any way, except in an individual view.
    What is next?

Thanks for getting back to me.

I asked about the spacing issue because I noticed that when I replicated the date/time format you’re using on your site, there was a little space added just before the date separator, and deleting this resolved the issue for me.

If that’s not the cause of this issue in your case, then let’s try something else. Please follow this troubleshooting guide to test for conflicts and let me know what you find.

    Best regards,

    Marho
