Lightweight Social Icons in both Header and Footer | WordPress.org

Using Generate Press premium and Lightweight Social Icons plugin. The social media icons look great in the header but I would also like to have them in the footer (not widget) too. Is this possible?

Hi there,

We mention a plugin at the bottom of our FAQ page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/lightweight-social-icons/faq/

It allows you to add widgets and display them with a shortcode which you can place in your footer.

As I explained in my initial cry for help, I do not want to use a widget as I am not using any footer widgets. Is it possible to have the icons display in the footer itself?

If this is not possible, I can live without them displaying in the footer too.

The plugin I mentioned in the FAQ makes it so you can turn a widget into a shortcode which you can place in your footer (no need for a widget area).
