  • Is your WordPress version up to date (4.4.1)?

    4.4.1

    just upgraded everything yesterday.

also i did try disabling all my plugins and that didn’t fix it.

Sometimes there are errors in the WordPress upgrade which can occur as the server performs the upgrade. You may have to replace the wp-admin and/or wp-includes directories (folders).

Do you know how to access your site’s File Manager through your hosting service cPanel OR do you have a FTP client such as Filezilla?

Yes I do know how. I’ll try it.

Thank you so much. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Okay… remember, do not replace wp-content folder, only wp-admin and wp-includes.
If you would like assistance, just ask.

I just overwrote both those directories with freshly downloaded 4.4.1 files. And it still seems to be doing the same. The button chages state…but doesn’t nothing.

    IThank you Neo.

And it is still not working? I’m a bit baffled.
Can you upload an image into the Media Libraray and into a Post or Page?

    yes that part works fine.
It’s the header (under appearance, customize) and also “background Image” button does the same thing.

Okay… I know you just put in a fresh install of Twenty-Sixteen, but this seems like the next best option. I could be corrupted in the installation process. So, delete the current Twenty-Sixteen you have and install another through the Theme Install OR you could download the theme to your computer and install by uploading to wp-content > themes and then going to Dashboard > Themes and activating it.

Hi specialists. Same issue on my environment also.
    1. Replace wp-admin, wp-includes did not help
    2. Also reinstalled theme from the beginning.
I am still getting the same – image can not be loaded for crop.
I want to change header image with size of 278 kB and 1199 × 280.
Here is what I see at select and crop

My site running locally on IIS.

Some research I have made. I have noticed that adding images through browser and Media button to site makes most of them not displaying on site.

    But if I
1.go to folder wp-contents on my Windows machine.
    2. Cut those images and paste to another folder outside WP folder
    3. and then cut/paste back to original place.
    4. And refresh page with images – they will display on site.

    Strange behavior.
    What you think about it?
