CSS-button doesn't work

    Hello all.
    I generated CSS-button , added code to style.css, saved it and then add class=”btn” to my link, but nothing happened. The theme is Twenty Sixteen.
    How to fix this?
    Also, I tried fixing this with MY Custom CSS plugin, but it had no effect on the issue.
