• After successful activation of plugin, in the settings tab this is the error message i keep getting : [ “Consider Titles” and “Consider Bodies” are currently disabled. As a result, “Pages” may not display in the “Related Posts” sections. ]

Hence the plugin does not show any related posts in any of the blog pages or posts.

    please advice

  • I’m having the same problem. I DO want the plugin to consider titles and bodies, but I cannot make those options become activated. How do I fix this? Thank you.

    me too! 🙁

…oh wait, digging revealed, the dropdown menu options are intentionally “disabled”. There’s a notice at the top of my YARPP options screen that explains in detail. But basically there’s a note there:

YARPP's "consider titles" and "consider bodies" relatedness criteria require your sdkjlksjdf_posts table to use the MyISAM enginefulltext indexing feature. Unfortunately your table seems to be using the 1 engine. Because fulltext indexing is not supported by your current table engine, these two options have been disabled.

note that my “sdkjlksjdf_posts” table is an obscure renaming for the standard posts table, that’s part of a security plugin. I’m betting a vanilla install would just say “your posts table” in that message.

I’m off to follow the further instructions in the message at the top of my YARPP options sscreen….

odd, didn’t work. My SQL database shows the correct text engine is in fact assigned for the table, but YARPP still isn’t happy. I’m opening another support item with a more specific request for help.

MUCH more detail in my other support post
