• Hello,

I love this plugin, however I would like to perform one more action.

Would it be possible to automatically set the first remotely hosted image in the post’s body to the featured image?

    Usage scanario:
IFTTT rule creates new post on WP blog when new Instagram image is posted for specific hashtag. WP Autoset Featured Image Plus then “fetches” the URL of the image in the new WP post and sets that URL as the featured image.

    Reason:
I want to keep all images hosted on their respective platform to conserve disk space on my server.

    Thanks!

I’d also really like to know if this is possible 🙂

I blog from the WP phone app, and it doesn’t automatically set the feature image, until I get home and go through all my posts and tap “update” 🙁

So I too would like to request if this can be done “automatically” (as the plugin imply’s)

I use to use “Autoset Featured Image” by “Arefly” – that use to work excellently, but its not been touched for 2 years and I think because for some reason WP has changed its extensions from JPG to JPEG, the plugin has stopped working and the dev isnt’ answering any support requests.

so I switched to this plugin… which also doesn’t work how I’d expect

(not moaning btw – just constructive points)
