    Hi all,

I prepare a new version of a website in a sub-folder of the main directory of the host. The website was visible at an adress like http://mydomain.org/wordpress/ Everything was ok until the moment when I tried to target the web address to the main folder of wordpress (want to have the site at this address http://mydomain.org/. The host told me that we have to move the files in order to have the website under the web address (no way to joined the web address with a sub-folder).
So, what are the parameters, files I have to modify in order to have wordpress working well?
Hope you will be able to help me,
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards
    Benoît

You don’t have to move them…see the following directions for leaving the files in a subdirectory and making it look like wp is in root.

Or, if you want to move your files to root, then see the second video in the following post for a step-by-step demonstration.

    Thanks Figaro.
This is what I was looking for!!! Great news.
This is not done as the host meet other problem of redirection, but I have hope in your first link.
Just a question about this solution : what are the core files? (step 6) I’m French and I didn’t understand it.
    Thanks in advance,

At the end, I choose the second solution, following the video.
