• how exactly am I supposed to customize this plugin? There’s no options in the dashboard. I shouldn’t have to use custom CSS to make changes to the colors…

    Thanks for your review!

    Please note that we never claimed this plugin to be highly customizable. Neither did we say there’s lots of options in the admin.

    What we claim is basically the opposite:

    The plugin is highly flexible, you can adjust almost anything via filters & hooks.

    Second, we want this plugin to be as easy as possible, so you can basically install and forget about it.

    I’m sorry that our plugin does not (yet) do what you expected it to do, but rating it three stars because of that is a bummer because of all the hard work we put into it.

    I agree with you on that one shouldn’t necessarily have to use custom CSS to make changes to the colors. We will think a bit if and how we could make this easier. After that, we’ll get back to you here on this thread.

    I rated it three stars because it’s way too simple and has no options. I’m sorry I confused the word ‘flexible’ with ‘customizable’. Given that there are no options or available customizations, it’s hard to believe you really put much work into it.

    Also why does the email have a place for name and email but when you’re leaving feedback there isn’t a place to enter your name or email?

    There also needs to be anti spam options like ones message per IP per day or captcha.

    Wow.

    You should have probably first reached out to us via the support forums instead of directly submitting a review and claiming that nothing works as you expected. The plugin works as advertised, that’s the whole point.

    Logged-in users do not need to enter their name or email address because that’s already known. For guests the form is shown, as you can clearly see in the demo video.

    There also needs to be anti spam options like ones message per IP per day or captcha.

    Speaking from experience, this is not a problem at the moment, so don’t worry. Improved anti-spam measures are on the roadmap though. We’ll never ever implement CAPTCHAs though.

    Yeah, you should really start a new thread in the support forums about stuff like that.

    If a mobile browser doesn’t support the features we rely upon, the tool obviously doesn’t work and won’t load. Besides that, it’s not really intended for mobile use just yet. Expect improvements in version 2.

    A. After testing the plugin with a logged in account I received an email that did not include the name or email address, so no, it is not ‘already known’ for logged in users.

    B. I’m already receiving spam replies so yes, it is a problem. It’s too bad you’ll never ever implement capthas, I guess I’ll never ever use your plugin. I get enough spam in my inbox as it is.

    C. I would have thought you would check the most popular mobile web browser to make sure your plugin works. I’m using chrome on Android I’m not using some weird obscure mobile browser nobody’s ever heard of. I think the plugin not working in the most popular web browser is worthy information to include in a review.

    I’m sorry you don’t appreciate less than perfect reviews but I hope in the future instead of getting mad at users you actually work to improve the plugin. And hopefully someday we can customize it without using hooks and filters, whatever those are.
