Hi Everybody,

First I wish you the best for this new year (No Bugs on website) !
Second if you could help me as I am loosing my hairs here.

To be honest this is my first Blog/website so my question/problem is may be basic.
I have the last update version 1.5.1, my website http://www.motow.fr

It is working for post including Photo like this one http://motow.fr/index.php/2015/12/26/hugo-na-plus-les-pieds-sur-terre-vu-par-jo-sierra/
When I share on Facebook I have a photo and a description, cool !

But for post with Video it is not working (not using the featured image), Plus, it does not use the right default image. http://motow.fr/index.php/2015/12/11/julien-tournessi-je-veux-finir-dans-le-top3-au-touquet/

I have check the Facebook debug page and the message is strange to me (I am a beginner) So I am not able to understand or fix my problem.
“fb:app_id hasn’t been included in the meta tags. Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog. Otherwise, the default app id( 966242223397117 ) will be assigned.”

Could you help me ?

There’s not a reason in the world (besides a plugin conflict) why a video post would make any difference.

I looked at the open graph tags being output on your page and they are perfectly fine, which means the problem is that Facebook is not reading it properly – or more likely – they have outdated information. They cache page info for up to 24hrs I believe, and so during this time nothing you do on your website will make any difference when shared on Facebook – unless you hit the Fetch New Scrape Information button.

Sometimes it’s the simple solutions.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your post.
You are right, the post that you checked is ok (the most recent). Plus, your sentence “video should not different than picture” helped.

But my oldest post were still not working. But I figure it out.
In fact it seems that the format of the picture has a influence. My “png” or “tiff” picture were not working. Even something my “jpg”.
Finally, using Photoshop and saving “for a web purpose”, helps a lot ! Now all my post with this kind of picture work.

PS don’t use TIFF image formats for the web. They’re not widely supported.
