    Hello, sorry to hear that!

    Just to be sure can you double check all of these so we can rule this out to begin with: http://docs.simplecalendar.io/timezone-settings/

    Thanks!

    Here’s what my calendar settings look like

    [event-title]
    [start-date]
    [if-not-all-day] [start-time]-[end-time] [/if-not-all-day]

    Only problem is If I only give a start time it gives me 5:00pm-5:00pm.

    I don’t want to delete end time because most entries have it.
    Is there a syntax you can give me that would not repeat the time if only start time is given?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Include me as another user having a timezone issue.

    I double checked all the timezones in Google and WP settings, and everything looks fine. But I wasn’t able to locate the setting referenced for the plugin on the page you provided. There is no such toggle in the setting, at least that I see.

    @stevebenthal,

    What are your other calendar settings?

    @nlavertue,

    Which setting are you referring to?

    Here’s my page:
    http://tiferethisraelgreenport.org/
    Note January 15th

    Light Candles at: 4:27 PM
    4:27 pm-4:27 pm

    Here’s the google calendar:
    http://tiferethisraelgreenport.org/calendar/

    We imported this from another calendar. They put the time 4:27pm in the Title, the start time, and the end time.

    I realize now that this isn’t a problem with your plugin, but would you have a code that would say “if start and end time are equal do not display”?

    @stevebenthal,

    Not sure if we have exactly that but here are our event template tags so you can see if any of them would be able to help: http://docs.simplecalendar.io/event-template-tags/

    @nlavertue,

    That is weird that it is not there for you. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin to see if that helps. What type of calendar is it? (It should be displayed on all types, but just curious)

    It’s a Google Calendar.

    Uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, but… the reason is that it’s unclear how to actually get to that setting.

    It might warrant an update to the documentation. I was looking for that under Calendars > Settings > Advanced. But it’s actually under Calendars > All Calendars > Edit [specific calendar] and at the bottom of that edit page. Bit more context would be helpful.

    Also worth noting the calendar shortcode format changed from gcal id to calendar id.

    Ah ok thanks. I updated the docs a little bit. So did you try changing it and did it make a difference?

    I did, and it’s all set now. Thanks for following up.

    Great glad to hear that! Going to mark this as resolved now, but don’t hesitate to let us know if you run into any other issues.

    Thanks!
