• Hello Forum !

I am trying to set the “Slide URL” settings for a slide in a wordpress slide show. It does not take. I try the whole URL with “http://…” with and without the www. I have consulted the settings on another web site running drupal instead of wordpress and it seems like I am doing it right.

Are there some hidden settings or some trick I can use to make this work or find out what I am doing wrong? Please ask questions and I will verify.

  • hello xarzu,

can you tell forum what slider/plugin you use for it?
it will help us/me to troubleshoot slider and the issue.

if slider is well written, yes there are parameters/settings in a .js file somewhere in theme (maybe or plugin).

    have fun,

I have to confess, I was not the only developer that worked on this. I had someone else set this up for me. I am used to other CMS systems but me, and a business partner were in a rush and so we hired some guy to set this up for us.

It looks like it is called wooslider. in the dashboard, it is called “SlideShowes” but I can see when I mouse over the settings it is called “wooslider” from an information bar at the bottom.

Now, I looked online and I noticed that the documentation does not say how to set the URL
    https://docs.woothemes.com/document/wooslider/

I also found a youtube video “WooCommerce Home Page Image Slider Setup”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPH-HOKTkAY but it shows a “Woo Store” which is lacking on my web site dashboard which only shows “WooCommerce” and then “Slidshows” as seperate.

    ok,

well i saw a little woo code and it’s very clean, but i didn’t touch yet slider or stuff.

on the other hand i looked at genesis, very clean classes and stuff. too clean for me too.

the thing is, both/3 are good, but plugins below are more less easy to grab and make functions you need.

what i don’t grab is your need. it’s now way above my skill but easy to grab make use of any custom landing page, stuff, client history or so a bit like folks in optimzely, just the job. I could even add front end is now way simplier to learn than php (which is simple), with jquery and stuff.

what is missing or, not for you, or i missed please?
