    I use Wunderground as a widget in the side bar and it stopped updating.

    I deactivated and deleted the plugin and re-installed and it still shows the stale data. I can change the plugin to report weather conditions for another city and it displays the current data.

    Any clue on how to get my Wunderground widget properly updating again?

    Thank you for your help!

  • Same issue here. This page is not displaying the current weather accurately when set to “Allegan, Michigan”.

    http://myacsc.org/trail-conditions-report/

    Does not work => Allegan, Michigan
    Works = > Detroit, Michigan
    Works = > Saugatuck, Michigan

    It is currently set to “Saugatuck, Michigan” which is close, but not what we prefer to use.

    Let me know if I can do anything to help track down the problem.

    You must use the zmw format for the location to get it to update.

    For Allegan, Michigan use zmw:49010.1.99999

    Thank you, jszuslik. I gave that a try and it is currently working. How did you find this out?

    jszuslik,

    The alternate feed seemed to work for a day, now it is stuck displaying the data from the first time it was used. Now it’s a couple days old.

    I am wondering again if it is a transient that is not getting flushed. I just switched back to “Saugatuck, Michigan” and it is using data from a couple days ago as well.

    Whenever I enter a new city for a feed, it pulls and displays the current data. Then, it seems to use that and not pull new data again.

    Hopefully this information will be helpful for getting do the bottom of the bug.

    Same boat. If I change the language in widget settings to something else, current data is shown. But if I switch back to English the data shown is from October.

    Same deal here. It was working fine and then a few days ago it stopped updating and seems to go to an adjacent town. Anybody have any insight on this one?

    Yet another “same issue here” post. Would love to see this addressed by the developer. Thanks!

    Ditto here. I suppose if the developer isn’t going to deal with it, it’s back to the very ugly national weather service widget.

    I think this might be related to using Personal Weather Station data, then the stations go offline. Can you all please follow these instructions and see if you’re using a Personal Weather Station and let me know?

    The cache should be refreshed every hour. I checked the code, and I don’t believe it’s not a caching issue. You can verify that it’s not a caching issue by being logged-in as an Administrator, then adding ?cache to the end of your URL. Let me know if it does fix things, but I don’t believe it will.

    FYI, for more information about the request being displayed, you can add ?debug=wunderground while logged-in and you’ll get a data dump of the current conditions data being used by the plugin.

    If it was a matter of the personal weather station going offline then those wouldn’t show current data on other sites and other instances, would it? (there are about 20 pws options near me)

    The ?cache added to the end of the URL *did* solve the problem for my site.

    Same here – adding ?cache to the end of the URL solved the problem on my site.

    Thanks for working on it!

    I changed my site to the closest airport which appears not to be a personal weather station and that is working so far.

    Zack, is there still an update to the plugin on its way, or did you determine that no update is necessary if the user settings are switched to not use a personal weather station?
