I tried another twitter plugin (Twitter Tweets) with the same widget id and username and that is working fine. I noticed that if I put your widget with Twitter Tweets widget on a page at the same time, your widget shows the tweets. But as soon as I remove that widget from the page, yours will not show the tweets anymore….

Ah. Regarding the explanation above, I just thought that maybe the reason for loading the tweets when using it with another widget is, it can not load something which is loaded by that another widget (Twitter Tweets) , so I checked “Load Twitter Script” in “Twitter Script Options” and found out that it is “no”. I changed it to “yes” and now it is working fine.

    Hi Ghazal,

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback.
In the meanwhile, we have checked our plugin and it is working fine at our end.

    Agains thanks to your.

Exactly this happened for me on a site. I realised that I had ‘Ghostery’ running in my browser and blocking scripts (others like AdBlock might do similar), on white-listing the site it loaded and displayed fine.

I’m having the same problem. All that’s showing on my website from the Easy Twitter plugin is a link saying ‘Tweets by @MsToniMackenzie’ but when anyone clicks on it, it takes them off my website and the tweets by @TwitterDev – which is not at all good… D’artisan how did you locate ‘Ghostery’?

Hello, I have the same problem I have tried to disable the AdBlock plugins and than tried again but no succes.

Have anyone any idea why my feeds don’t working ?

    Please re-open this issue.

In line 95 of easy-twitter-feed-widget/easy-twitter-feed-widget.php you link statically to https://twitter.com/twitterdev.

    (based on version 0.5)

    Please change this.

PS: I know, that this error only ocurs when you have some adblocker active. But the plugin should work independently from such a configuration.
Even though users who have privacy concerns will not be able to read the twitter messages on the wordpress instance, they shouldn’t be sent to an unexpected twitter account.

This topic is marked as resolved but I’m not so sure. All my PCs (Win10 and Linux with many browsers, also Android) display the Twitter feed okay on my website but some peoploe complain that it doesn’t work in one or more of their browsers. Yesterday I went into a Currys branch and used a brand new laptop on display in the shop. It didn’t work correctly in Edge, displaying the link as discussed above. As somebody here as pointed out that the link exists in line 95 of the PHP code, could one of the developers say what conditions exist for this link to be activated?

@rogerd202 Do you have some browser plugin enabled to avoid tracking.
I for example use Ghostery for privacy reasons. This blocks the loading of the tweets and the fallback links to twitterdev.

No I don’t have any such blocker and as I mentioned, a brand new machine in Currys exhibited the same problem. I wouldn’t expect there was anything installed except the standard OS on this laptop on display in the shop.
The site is here for you to check with your browsers although it seems to work most of the time so it’s at the user end where the problem seems to be.
