• Does anybody know if it is possible to use Login With Ajax plugin when your hosting server has mod_security enabled. I have not use this plugin before but it seems to not work when that is enabled. I am pretty sure I do not want to disable it either.

The reason I am using it is because the theme 15zine that I purchased has it.

Is there a better plugin or option for me to use?

  • should work with mod_security enabled, there may be a rule you or your hosts are running that’s causing the conflict, rather than just enable it.

what part specifically isn’t working for you? e.g. when you try to log in

What do I need to be looking for to find that out?

It gave me a 406 error in the console.

just need to know what you’re doing that doesn’t work, might give a hint. not sure what security mods to look for but my guess is the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php file

    Yeah,

So when I use Login with Ajax I type my username and password in then it gives me an error of: An error has occured. Please try again.

And in the console: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 406 (Not Acceptable)

I have no experience with security mods. If I would have to change anything I am not sure where to start.

if you’re using any security plugins, might be worth deactivating those to see if it helps, otherwise try contacting your hosts.

It may be blocking yoursite.com/wp-admin/wp-ajax.php altogether, which it shouldn’t do.
