Thanks Mindsave. If you didn’t have issues before, then something must have changed in the meantime (e.g. new plugin installs etc.). Did you do anything in the meantime? Please also check our faq: http://www.ultimatelysocial.com/faq

I updated a few plugins before. But afterwards, this plugin still worked. And then, after not being able to save some settings and after I reloaded it, It does not load. Sorry, I am not too good with IT, I am just trying to set up a website with a theme. I see that the plugin does work, it appears in the widgets and the footer. But I cannot get into it’s settings.

I am having the same issue. I haven’t tried to access the admin area of this plugin for awhile, so I don’t know when it started to happen. When I deactivated all of the other plugins to see if there was a conflict and it still sends me to the error 500 message. But the actual plugin is working on the front end.

Thanks @nixonnotes. Did you check the points in the FAQ already? http://www.ultimatelysocial.com/faq

Same issue here. Not updated anything else on our site just now.

Thought perhaps i needed to update this plugin, which i did (from 1.3.2 to 1.3.3) and it still happens.

Even hiding the loading animation manually, the layout of the items behind it appears to be quite broken. None of the sections are in an accordion anymore, and there’s a number ‘4’ up the top left (which appears to be the number for tab4)

Looking at the generated source code, there’s this:

    Fatal error
    Cannot redeclare class OAuthSignatureMethod_HMAC_SHA1 in
    \wp-content\plugins\ultimate-social-media-icons\helpers\OAuth.php
    on line 120

    Hope that helps.

    edit:
just on that error, should you perhaps not have an if(!class_exists(…)) around all of the classes in your OAuth.php?

    edit2:
adding the if(!class_exists(…)) around all of the classes fixed my issue, hopefully the dev can confirm?

Thanks Craig, let us look into this

Thank you for the update! It all works now 🙂

@socialdude I see you released an update (1.3.4) so I decided to update, though the previous problem I (and others here it seems) is re-occurring.

I’ve added in my “fix” and things are fine. I’m curious as to your thoughts on the issue, and whether or not what i suggested is an appropriate solution.

@craigemu – Hi Craig, we fixed it, but this fix wasn’t included in the last update. We’ll release a new update later this week with the fix. Please then let me know if it works.

I JUST installed the plug in – Version 1.3.4 – and the setting page will not load either – the circle just keeps spinning and spinning!

Same as mindsave above – I see that the plugin does work, it appears in the widgets and the footer. But I cannot get into it’s settings to put my social media information!

Hi Suzanne, we just uploaded a new plugin version – could you please try that one?

Also, did you check the faq already? http://www.ultimatelysocial.com/faq

@socialdude thanks for taking the time to update the plugin, works a treat now.

Right, so got back to where I started this thread:

Dashboard USMSI section never loads up. Tried Ultimate social Media PLUS – that worked fine. So I was using that one. A few days ago I activated USMSI again (after updating it) to see if it works and what are the differences. It worked. So both of them were working perfectly.

    Up to yesterday

Today – and no new plugins or anything was added or updated, just literally woke up and tried using them – the ultimate social media PLUS plugin dashboard does not load up – you can only see the loading circle and nothing loads up. The USMSI one works, but I have everything in the other one, not sure if I want to change using the plugin again. I just left everything as it is, because the icons work, just I am not able to load the dashboard anymore.

Maybe it will start working again after a few updates?..
