I was wondering, im new to wordpress, how do I add a forum tab at the top so when someone clicks it it redirects to my forums?

Edit the appropriate template file to include the HTML that points to your forums. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Stepping_Into_Templates for more information.

Depends on the theme, where you want the link, what information you want available to PHP to render the HTML, etc. Read through the docs, everything you need to know is available there.
