Users' names not syncing with WordPress

    Hello,

    I have a big issue with Mailpoet that I don’t seem able to troubleshoot.

    I have 951 WordPress users and they are correctly formed with FirstName and LastName, and I am currently using Theme My Login to have their e-mail addresses as usernames (and I was previously using Register Plus Redux).

    In Mailpoet though the majority of users (but not all of them, there seems to be no pattern to why some are affected and others not):
    – have their FirstName replaced by their e-mail address
    – a blank LastName

    I tried disabling every plugin and activating TwentyFifteen yet updating the WordPress users list from the Mailpoet page won’t change a thing.

    The only way I’ve found to reinstate FirstName and LastName in Mailpoet is to manually edit and save each user in /wp-admin/users.php but doing so in bulk (for instance changing their role) won’t yield the same result.

    Any hint?

    Unfortunately, that’s a problem we are aware of, but we won’t fix for the current version 2 of MailPoet.

    This issue is going to be fixed on the upcoming version 3. You can read more about it here: http://www.mailpoet.com/mailpoet-3-the-future/

    ps.: Have you tried to go to Edit Lists page and then click on the “Update” link for the WordPress Users list?

    Yes, I tried the “update” link on the Edit Lists page but it yields no result.
    I also tried to force a bulk role change (to subscriber to editor, for instance) in the WordPress user management list but that also didn’t produce any effect.
    The only way to “force” the Name – Username back into Mailpoet is to enter into every single user and save (even if no changes are made). I don’t know if that can help you troubleshooting this issue for 3.0

    By the way, do you have any ETA for the new version?
