Empty website, just event header text since update

    Hi All,

    Since the last update (plugin and/or WP4.4) the customer website using this plugin shows completely empty except the event’s header text. The rest of the site is gone.

    There’s 2 distinctions … An errors I see in the log:

    PHP Warning: array_map(): Argument #2 should be an array in /var/www/www.bethechange.nl/wp-includes/category-template.php on line 1158

    Then, the events plugin stops working as said when the “Yoast SEO” plugin is activated. Then the event-plugin code triggers on this:

    PHP Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /var/www/www.bethechange.nl/wp-content/plugins/event-organiser/templates/event-meta-event-single.php on line 74

    Any suggestions?

    My site has also disappeared since updating. these are the messages I am receiving. Any help would be appreciated.

    @rebmeredith – those errors are coming from WordPress itself – is there any reason you think its related to the plug-in?

    @gerardjp This is a bug in WordPress. Please see: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-44-46?replies=7. A work-around is to enable event tags via Settings > Event Organiser > General.

    Dear Stephen,

    Thanks for the heads up. Customer is testing the workaround … Seen quite a wave of plugin updates after 4.4. Taxonomy changes in WordPress made some ripples 😉
