I uploaded some pictures to my site, and input them into a blog post. Then I cropped and rotated the image using the editor, but photon keeps serving the old non-rotated and non-cropped version. How do I get photon to see I’ve edited the picture?

I thought I maybe should rename the file manually in FTP, but there’s several versions of each image (looks like separate sizes). So do I need to delete all of these (about a dozen) and start over? Should I just stop using photon?

I’m afraid you won’t be able to refresh Photon’s cache for these images. Photon always starts from the original image, so resized and cropped versions are ignored.

    You consequently have 2 solutions:

    • Deactivate the Photon module under Jetpack > Settings
    • Crop and resize the images manually on your computer, before the upload, and then upload and use these images in your posts.

Sorry not to be able to help you more.
