• My site is http://www.dixiekitchens.com. I’m very new, and have categories set on the navigation bar….but I want to change them to pages. I was told that the proper way to set it up is with pages rather than categories.

My problem is that I can’t figure out how to associate a category with a particular page. I’ve read some of the other threads on here about it, but I have no idea what the suggestions meant. I need someone to take pity on me and explain what I need to do in very simple terms.

    Thanks in advance!!

  • I’m not sure I would recommend doing what you are trying to do based on your experience – what you’ve done is fine! You’re using the built-in, normal way to do what you want.

BUT, if for some reason, you absolutely MUST use a page to display the same information, you’re going to need to learn how to code OR install a plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/

Thanks, Shannon. I’ve had trouble getting a picture to show up when I share a post to Facebook, and someone told me the reason for that is because I used categories instead of pages.

I’ve been trolling other blogs, though, in the last few minutes…..and most of them use categories in the navigation menu, too.

I do think I’ll keep it as is. Thanks again, and have a great rest of the week!
