My Calendar breaks features one by one (events aren’t shown, categories aren’t shown or don’t trigger the correct event, etc.), this meaning that it’s not just in conflict with my theme, because the plugin behaves differently each time. I have had the whole thing checked by a developers company and they confirmed the problem is within Calendar, its heavy library and some AIAX requests. But they also said they can fix it, so I believe you can improve it as well.
My major issue is not in my Calendar page but in this other page, where at the footer you can see that the page content (i.e. the forum) is picked up and inserted in the widget. This happens as soon as I have one event; if there are no events then the problem disappear (because the widget disappears).

my friend, that theme/plugin check was done in the first place and that’s why I had another developer to look into it, who confirmed the conflict. (on the other hand, checking for a conflict is useless because there’s never a solution to it). Can we get more specific and find a solution? I don’t wanna pay the other developer claiming that he can fix the issue, if I have the original developers here who should deliver a flawless product in the first place. Moreover, I’m willing to purchase add-ons but not until the core plugin is fixed.

    There are often solutions to”conflicts”.
If you have identified a conflict by following the steps in the article posted then what exactly is the conflict between?
Is everything pk using Twenty Thirteen as the theme?
The plugin does workout simply be fully compatible with the wide variety of themes and plugins out there.

I confirm you that the problem persists even with default themes, and I confirm you that the calendar was working on the first installation but keeps breaking now.
    1) events are not shown in the calendar
    2) categories are not assigned (on category filter the assigned event aren’t shown)
2b) multiple categories are not assigned
    3) newly created events are not “published” but “planned” status
    4) widget conflict with other page
    5) some events automatically creates ai1ec_banner_image custom field, whilst other don’t
    6) adding image in ai1ec_banner_image has no effect
    ….

Ok. what has been done since it worked?
I’ve never seen, over many years, the plugin “die by itself”?
It’s often a conflict with another plugin.
That’s when you disable plugins to try and identify where a “conflict” is.
An alternative you may consider is to use a hosted Calendar. That’s at cost but if you have less than 200 upcoming events it’s only $9 a month.
No fixed period and you can cancel.
Might seem like I’m pushing the paid version here (I actually prefer the plugin but with all the features of the full hosted calendar) but it resolves many issues with conflicts since it just lads events hosted at time.ly under a controlled environment via script.
I’d try Pro for a month.

I cannot afford monthly payment, sorry. I need to be independent.

I believe one of the problem is that one event cannot be modified but needs to be deleted and created again. Otherwise is not shown on the Calendar and its category isn’t included in the cats filter.

Any idea about the first issue I opened, i.e. the forum replicated in the Calendar widget? (for each event added, a copy of the forum is added to the widget)

Your Calendar seems to be working fine now. I can’t see any issues.
Not sure why you are filtering by Category at all.

well, I’m filtering categories because I have more than one 🙂
Sorry for keeping you here, but can you please tell me something about the footer widget on this page?

I can’t see any issue with the footer widget at all.
There’s no Calendar or Calendar widget showing on that page.

oh, that sounds promising, maybe it’s just a server or browser/cache error. http://www.mediafire.com/view/rvuhp4oco7d1shx/widget.png

    Might well be.
I just checked with another browser and the forum page looks fine.
I have no experience with the CDN you are using. Remote possibility that might cause issues.
