Ping & Trackbacks

Hi folks

i read a lot of threads now about this issue but either there were no solutions or i didn’t understand them.

So here’s my problem:

I can send trackbacks by manual add them in the “trackback”-bar under “write post”. It works.

How are the pingabacks working? Only write a link in my posts? If yes, seem not to work. I just tried to ping to this wordpress.org blog by posting a link to the newest article:

I tried with other blogs to ping and trackback to my main blog but it don’t work. I don’t get a message on my dashboard that there are incoming links or something. And i don’t see notifications (neither in the article nor in the backend) that an other blog is trackbacking to me.

I checked all options from that. I activated trackbacks and pingbacks in articles and in the main options and so on.

What can i do?
