    Everytime i uplaod a new template through my ftp program it never pops up in the theme page on the dashboard. I checked my fil manger in my control panel just in case but it was in there too. I dont get why its not popping up in the dashboard, can someone help me?

    you have a directory issue, upload only folder/files. what you did was you uploaded this folder/folder/files. You commited this error on the file extraction process.

    what u mean folder/folder/files the theme folders have folders in theme

    if you have a folder called lets say wpthemefolder and you have a file called wpthemefile the directory will look like wpthemefolder/wpthemefile whar happend i your case is after you extracted wpthemefolder.zip, you just uploaded it right away. when you do that, your directory will look like wpthemefolder/wpthemefolder/wpthemefile which is wrong for uploading themes in wordpress.
