Your Permalink should be set to “postname”. You can check to in the wordpress backend under Settings > Permalinks
Maybe the current setting is “Custom -> /barista-cofees-2/%postname%/”

No.
@baristacoffees: the WordPress install is a folder called barista-coffees-2. To move the site to root, see Giving WordPress Its Own Directory « Using a pre-existing subdirectory install
Ok, I changed the Permalink structure for the products that i have and they are turning our like this:
http://www.baristacoffees.com/product/tour-of-the-world/
But, when I go back to the blog page:
http://www.baristacoffees.com/barista-coffees-2/blog/
What I did was change the permalink structure for products to:
Custom Base: /product
I also went back to confirm that the blog is still:
http://www.baristacoffees.com/barista-coffees-2/blog
This is even after checking to see if if was still %postname%
Although posts are showing correctly:
http://www.baristacoffees.com/image-of-page-42-of-civil-government-redent-bachelor-1917/
By the way. This install is in the root directory. Very puzzled about this.
Are the URLs in Dashboard>>Settings>>General both the same?
Yes, both URL’s are the same. Never changed. So, what would cause the issue I am having?
So they are the same; but what are the URLs?
Here’s a list of the primary URL’s affected:
http://www.baristacoffees.com/barista-coffees-2/blog/
http://www.baristacoffees.com/barista-coffees-2/contact-us/
…..
Pages not affected:
All products pages are fine (They show up as /product/XXXXXX). The front page is also fine. Also, articles on the blog are fine (They show up as http://www.baristacoffees.com/name_of_article).
So, what does it look like? Will I have to re-do the installation or is this fixable?
What are the two URLs in Dashboard>>Settings>>General?
#1 You have a plugin that allows you to give custom permalinks to pages
#2 You have pages set up that are children of other pages, i.e. a parent page called barista-coffees-2 and other pages that are children of it.
songdogtech, you are a lifesaver. I completely forgot about setting the pages to be child pages my homepage. Thank you for helping.
