• I like how this plugin keeps bugging me with columns I don’t want in post list admin that I can’t disable and a alert in admin dashboard that I can’t be closed.

If you have any suggestions to improve the plugin, please feel free to post them in the support forum https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wpsso — I’m always looking for ways to make the plugin better. 😉

The free plugin offers standard functionality, while the Pro version offers more advanced customization options, including the showing/hiding the Social Img and Social Desc columns globally. If you click on the WordPress “Screen Options” tab, you can hide/display those columns on each table listing page.

As for the notices, most of them can be dismissed. If there’s one particular notice that’s a problem for you, cut-and-paste the notice in a new post in the support forum and I’ll be happy to help with that.

I have the pro version! I like the goods, dislike the bads. =) I didn’t talk about the goods because everyone already did, and because I were bugged to give it five stars by the n-th time when upgrading the plugin again. I saw nothing in the code that said that if I give it the five stars it asked me the box would disappear, but I did it anyway.

About the columns: I like the social image but dislike the social desc. What to do? Well, every time I upgrade I change the code myself to hide the desc column and the box in dashboard. That’s ok, it’s annoying but I can deal it with. I suppose that if no one else is complaining they should like it.

To dismiss a notice, click on the “X” icon in the upper right-hand side of the notice box.

To hide the “Social Desc” column, click on the “Screen Options” tab in the upper right-hand side of the page when viewing a list page.

If you have any comments or questions like this in the future, post in the support forum and I’ll be happy to help — either by explaining how to do something, or improving the plugin to allow for it. Either way, I always try and accommodate what users are trying to do with the plugin. 😉

This, too, is something that bugs me: some plugins’ alerts have close buttons, some don’t. WPSSO is a case that don’t have. Could it be becausa of my WordPress 4.1?

WPSSO notices can be dismissed! Just click on the “X” in the notice boxes. And yes, if you’re using an old WordPress version, that could be your issue.

Good to know! I’ll just have to stop being lazy and backup the hell out of my blog before upgrading it. Then WPSSO would be left with just one problem bugging me.

As I said previously, to hide the “Social Desc” column, click on the “Screen Options” tab in the upper right-hand side of the page when viewing a list page.
