    Hello,

I believe Jim Proctor reported this issue here, but it still seems to be occurring.

When I go to Preferences > User Control, and set all items to “Author” role, my author role users are still not able to add RSS feeds by going to “Add Feeds.” When they try to add feeds they receive the error message: “Cheatin’ uh?”

For now, I’ve bumped my authors up to admin status so that they can add RSS feeds, but this is not an ideal solution in the long term.

Any help you can provide in solving this issue would be much appreciated.

    Thanks so much,
    Nate

    Hi Nstoll,

Do you have any custom user role plugins running?

We have an option in the Preferences area to support them that you can check.

It will also help if you have the latest version of PF (3.8), as it has added additional user role detection and support.

    Hi Aram,

Thanks for the response! Things seem to be working smoothly now (perhaps it was the 3.8 update).

    Best,
    Nate
