Yes, using the debug tool Cron is listed as being on.
Sorry, not what I meant. Are you using an external cron? If you aren’t sure what I’m talking about, then you probably are not.
Then I guess not. 🙂 I just activated the plugin and it worked thereafter.
How often does Postie do a email check?
Currently one minute, although I’ve had it set at various times (15, 10, 5, etc.) and the problem has still persisted.
IMAP or POP? Which email service?
IMAP (no SSL) through tsohost’s mail service.
Have you tried switching to POP? My thinking is that the mail server isn’t deleting the email when Postie asks.
I haven’t tried that yet, no. I’ll give it a go and report back. 🙂

Unfortunately this hasn’t fixed the issue; Postie is still double posting every now and then.
What email service are you using? Nobody else seems to have this issue, so I’m thinking the email server is the culprit.
I am having the same problem. Just set up Postie and it works great except that the email sent once results in two posts. What can I do to fix this issue.?

I think I figured out the issue. I was having double-postings too.
I changed the password in Settings -> Writing -> Post Via Email to just an X… (so it was wrong)…
I think between that, and the postie posting, is why it was posting twice.
I could be wrong–but for me, it made it stop.
