Figure tags

    I can see the point of figure tags but…..

    They seem unpredictable in their wrapping. I would like to keep the [caption] functionality but lose the <figure> wrapping everywhere else.

    I am finding unpredictable results. For instance I put an image to alignleft, WordPress wp_autop puts a figure tag before the <img> tag but doesn’t close it again until the end of the content. What causes this?

    How to I remove <filte> from wp_autop?
