A little bug – maybe not your fault…

    I just found a bug in either this plugin or in the plugin “Easy custom sidebars” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-custom-sidebars/).

    The bug appears when I use the sidebar plugin, bug the nature of the bug makes me speculate that the problem might be in yours? I will post a similar support post in their forum.

    Anyway, this is the bug.

    I can’t add a category from “All post in category”, which is created by this plugin, when that category name has a and-sign ( & ). When I change the sign to an “o” it works fine. When the category is in place I can change the name back with the &-sign, and everything works fine.

    In a screen cast that I made you can see that an ordinary category with a &-sign works fine. This is what makes me suspect that the problem is with this plugin, rather than the sidebar plugin.

    Got an answer from the author from the other plugin:

    “Thanks for making that screencast. I think the bug is in our plugin and not with the other plugin you have listed above. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I’ll take a look into this and if it is a bug on our side then I’ll fix it and push up a new version of the plugin.”

    So you know.

    You want add the same categorie twice and the other plugin (Easy Custom Sidebars) says no. That’s the problem?

    No, the problem is that I can’t add a category with the sign ( & ) in the name – if it comes from the “All post in category”.

    I can add a category with &-sign in the name from the standard category, but the only reason I included that in the screen cast was to demonstrate how the problem was related to the “Category posts widget”-plugin.

    Facepalm…

    I thought that was related to your plugin. Which it isn’t, I see now.
