    Hi,
I am ready to pull my hair out.
Have placed a Contact 7 contact form on my website. Included the [mc4wp_checkbox] and have the checkbox now on the form.
My contact form has the following fields:
    First Name (required)
    Last Name (required)
    Email (required)
Country (which is a dropdown list)
    Subject
    Message
    The MailChimp checkbox
    reCaptcha
    Submit

The information comes to me in an email. However the fields (FNAME, LNAME, EMAIL, COUNTRY) are not coming over to my MailChimp lists. WhenI have tested this, I do not receive a notification to opt in. (I have double opt in selected). What am I doing wrong? Have read all the documentation and tried to implement and believe I have but still not working.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello kevjazz,

Can you please email us at “support @mc4wp.com” with a link to this post so we can assist you further. As we require some sensitive information to debug the issue, public forum would not be the best place to share it.

Thanks to someone at Mail Chimp, my wife received the information she needed. It involved making sure that certain snippets of code were inserted correctly.

    Hi,

I can’t seem to make Contact Form 7 work with Mailchimp for WordPress. I suspect that I’m not placing a snippet of code in the correct place.

A confirmation Email is never received after the signup so the list isn’t updated..

Mailchimp works fine when using their eepurl link.

Mailchimp For WordPress and Mailchimp seem to be communicating fine with each other “Connected” and “Active.”.

Here is our website Contact page: http://www.towgo.com/contact/

Thank you for your help. Very much appreciated!

    Hi Jim,

You should tell our plugin which Contact Form 7 to integrate with by adding the following shortcode to your CF7 form code.

    [mc4wp_checkbox]

This will render a sign-up checkbox asking your visitors to subscribe.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know!

    Hi Danny,

Thank you. I had the shortcake there previously, took it out and put it back after your suggestion. Still the same problem.

Text that’s inserted in the “Your Message” on the form is transmitted to the appropriate Email accounts from Contact 7 but the person who is signing up never receives a confirmation Email so their Name and Email Address isn’t added to the designated list at MailChimp.

It seems Contact 7 and MailChimp for WordPress are not handshaking yet.

    I appreciate your help Danny!

    Thanks Jim,

Question: did you select a list in MailChimp for WP > Integrations > Contact Form 7?

Does that list require any other fields besides just an EMAIL & NAME field?

    Thanks!

Yes, Contact 7 is checked in Integrations. In fact it is hard checked, can’t be unchecked.

“Custom” is also hard checked, can’t be unchecked.

If I’m understanding your second question correctly:

    The list at MailChimp is:
    Email Address
    First Name
    Last Name

    Thank Danny!

My wife told me that she got this to work by inserting mc4wp in front of each field like FName, LName, etc. The fields have to be the same on your Contact From 7 as they are on your Mail Chimp form.

Hi I’m having the same issue. Everything works fine with the plugin the forms work and the api is connected but the problems occur when I use CF7 I’ve sent an email to support. Ive tried everything each way..

The API is connected and working
I and subscribers will get email from the contact for 7 plugin without any problems

However I get nothing from Mailchimp when I use the contact 7 form but I do when using a mc4wp form on the ‘page’

I’ve tried changing the names of the files in CF7 to be the same as the form, but that didn’t work. I’ve put a mc4wp- in front of the fields in CF7 but again that didn’t work.
It was working on Sunday when I first started to test this but since I upgraded it to 3.0 it has not worked. Please can you help and let me know what else I can send you to help solve?

    Greetings,

I’ll be working on this later tonight and tomorrow if necessary but GrahamBakerPhotography said something that stuck out…

Ours was working fine initially for about a week or ten days also. It worked for testing and we even received a few new subscribers. The fact that it worked for a while, and then seemingly just stopped working, has been quite puzzling.

I’ll keep this forum posted. Please do the same.

    Many thanks,
    Jim Campbell

Hey guys im fixed; thanks to Danny!

For we its bit of a doh, but the thing to remember is to recheck EVERY SETTING after the upgrade. My issue was as simple as…

after the upgrade for some reason in the integrations section of the plugin the mailchimp list that I wanted people to subscribe to within the Contact Form 7 had somehow been deselected. By reselecting it I tested again and is now working as it should.. Phew!

    Thanks guys!
