Galleries referenced by slug not loading

Hi! A client just upgraded his site to WP 4.3.1. He also updated his plug-ins, among them Envira Gallery Lite.
His galleries then disappeared, so he called me.
It’s been a long time since I helped the client build these pages, but it looks as if in the original page code we were calling EGL galleries with just their slug in the shortcode. Since the update, EGL now appears to be ignoring slugs. I can bring the gallery back by adding the gallery ID into the shortcode.
It’s going to be a lot of work to get those IDs in, because he has a lot of galleries, but I am grateful that we don’t have to rebuild the galleries from scratch.
Just wanted to bring this to your attention: it appears identifying galleries by slug only does not work in EGL 1.3.5.0
