• For a site I maintain Wordfence activity email mentioned all WordPress core themes had new versions available:

    Updates Needed
    Themes

    • A new version of the theme “Twenty Fifteen (v1.3)” is available.
    • A new version of the theme “Twenty Fourteen (v1.5)” is available.
    • A new version of the theme “Twenty Thirteen (v1.6)” is available.
    • A new version of the theme “Twenty Twelve (v1.8)” is available.

    and the versions installed are older so that is correct. But the Dashboard indicates that there is nothing to update.

    Permissions and Groups
    The directories are 755 and the files 644 so that should be fine for this shared server setup. The groups seem to be consistent too.

    Trouble Shooting
    I read this thread and made sure
    define( 'WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE', false );
    was not added to the wp-config.php. I also used a plugin – Update Control – to see if auto updates were working. And all the tests were passed.

    Any ideas how I could solve that?

    WordPress 4.3.1, Dutch version. I do seem to get warnings for WordPress core updates and plugins, but not for the default themes. Even for Envision, the commercial theme used, I do get warning when there are updates..
