I successfully upgraded to 2.7.1 (from 2.6.something) using the auto-update wordpress plugin.
Everything on my site is running fine, but within the Admin Dashboard I can’t figure out how to access the old plugin page, or how I get to my themes to edit them (I can get to the ‘manage themes page but from there I can’t find the ability to edit). I know I know, super basic…I’ve read through the info here and it seems like I should be able to see this stuff, but I just can’t figure out if I should be able to or shouldn’t…
Perhaps there is a plugin that is messing with things?
If there is can I just delete it from wp-content/plugins?
    Ack!

now that I have seen other screenshots I can more accurately describe…what I am missing is the entire left hand navigation when I am withing the dashboard, so I can’t really do anything.
I used the plugin to auto-update since I am truly non-technical…
Any advice on how I can fix this? Thanks so much!

    ahh – i found the culprit…
“lighter-admin-drop-menus” (i deleted the entire folder using cpanel and everything seems to work now)
that was a bit stressful for someone who doesnt really know what they are doing!!! :-O
